Job Description The purpose of this position is Portfolio Management and Income generation with foreign banks
Responsibilities include :
* Origination of new business; The Regional Head is responsible for identifying appropriate business opportunities with exisiting and new clients (cold selling).
* Where business opportunities are formally availalble in the form of official tenders, it is required of the Regional Head to be aware of these opportunities and to ensure that the Bank is invited into such tenders
* Cross selling; In addition to the afore-mentioned, the Regional Head would be responsible for the cross-selling of treasury and international banking products/services to foreign bank base
* Client strategy/ management; It is the ultimate responsibility of the Regional Head to develop a suitable strategy that will maximise returns and ensure profitability within a specific geographical area. This requires an acute awareness and understanding of regional developments, that is developments of a political and economic nature, but also industry changes such as payments systems or the regulatory environment.
* Portfolio management incl. MIS
* The Regional Head must stay in contact with foreign banks to find business opportunities and source pertinent market information
* The Regional Head has to act as an escalation point for customer service difficulties experienced by foreign bank clients
* Regulatory and compliance issues
* He/she must source information on portfolio in terms of credit risk and pass on to Credit Dept where relevant
* Buying of banking services on behalf of Group
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
No criminal record
Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Banking, Economics, Finance, Management or Marketing
